We’ve been celebrating Fathers! I have been blessed with many special fathers in my life, but I only have one Deddy. I got to spend some time with Deddy today. My family came over and we grilled out burgers and had strawberry cake. We celebrate my brother’s birthday too. Yesterday, we spent time with my father-in-law. He is an awesome man and a wonderful Grandfather to the boys.

In the late afternoon, I got to spend some time with another special Dad in my life, Kevin. Kevin is a wonderful father to our boys. He took me for a ride on the four wheeler and we picked blackberries together. Nothing but the thud of the berries in the bottom of the bucket. Blackberry picking brings back many memories. I have been picking berries every summer since I can remember. They are early this year. I sat on the back of the four wheeler and ate them and remembered.

Thank you God for blessing my life with great Fathers.

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,

Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
