Thankfulness

Growing up I never did understand why this was my mom’s favorite holiday. But every year as the boys grow older I can see my emphasis slowing shifting too. From the over the top Christmas season, to seeking out the joys that come before in the gentleness of Thanksgiving.

A bounty has been given and for this I am grateful. As I spend time reflecting on these blessings. I wish to share them with you.

I am thankful to have a healthy family, and to be together… to WANT to be together, to laugh, to wrestle, to hug, to cheer for Bama, to poke fun at, to eat together. BE together. Drew is home from college and to see him and Chad pick up, where brothers that are friends, left off makes me happy. No time to argue or fight anymore. Just time to be friends.

I am thankful for the relationships in my life. The encouragers. The half full people. God has blessed me with a husband for 25 years. Kevin. There is no one like him.

God has put friends in my life that he knew I needed. And I do. They keep my life so interesting.

I’m so thankful for my parents and Kevin’s parents. They are ever present in our life and the boys life. I will never take them for granted.

I am thankful for answered prayers.

I am thankful for unanswered prayers.

I’m thankful that God decides this.

I hope that you and your family have a heartfelt thanksgiving.
